1 Month old tank algae question

I have a minor concerning issue on my one month old tank. I am having an algae outbreak, and I am not freaking out about it since from what I can tell through everything I have read: it's normal, it's the ugly stage, it will go away, it's NTS. It still makes me wonder what I am doing wrong if anything any input is appreciated.

Ok good I wasn't THERE yet but still couldn't hurt to ask. I just have a cleaner shrimp at the moment that has been in my tank for a week. I wanted to add a few hermits but I didn't want to get ahead of myself, any suggestions on that front? And thank you it only took an hour to get it right when I set the tank up haha.

Hermits are great. They clean up uneaten food as well as algae. I kinda like snails. Maybe a couple cerith and a couple nesaurius snails to start.

it is Normal only ... just reduce the light timing .... and check whether there are uneaten foods ...

Looks like diatoms. Excess silicates cause this. They will disappear once the food source is consumed. New dry sand/rock is the main cause. Nothing to worry about at this stage in your tank.

It's normal; no reason to intervene in any way. Let it run it's course.

That brown should turn green in a few weeks. Once that happens I would add the hermits. If you do go the hermit route, remember they will eat snails too

So, I got 2 astrea snails and 2 Halloween hermits from the pet store (to which I will not be returning to). And the snails are working wonders already, but did I do that too soon or should it work itself out still?

2 snails should stay busy initially with the diatoms. I'm a fan of a heavy CUC. You can add more down the road. Perhaps some sand stirrers like ceriths.
