let me clarify that i got these from a member on here, and then it went down the line.

so it went:

Source in Bali>Sea Dwelling Creatures>Ultimate Corals>Member>Me

Can you describe the weight of the paper as well as the water and fluorescent markings?

I'm sorry, but this lineage/designer stuff is crazy anymore. It's like it's literally a means to justify price.

For my education, can you enlighten me on the difference between them? All these jawbreakers/etc gold mushrooms with red/green/purple all look the same to me. Good thing I'm a stick guy!

first one is just a regular jawbreaker, second is a top lineage eclectus which is much brighter and colorful.

btw the eclectus is 1" big

What's the difference between top lineage, lineage, bottom lineage, intermediate lineage?

I have to laugh at the comments about the paperwork, which are funny by the way, but the guy has something legit that shows where its from and how he got it, its expensive but he has “real” proof of its lineage. Lets say for a minute he never mentioned any of that and just had an eclectus mushroom (whatever that is, I’m not into mushrooms/jawbreakers etc.). How many of you would be asking about the lineage, how did he come by such a rare item, what proof do we have that its what he says etc. etc. etc. etc. Yet, when somebody comes on here selling a reefraft sps “direct from Tony” or a zoa “direct from cornbread or JF", nobody asks for the slightest bit of proof of that transaction. And direct seems to carry some serious weight as opposed to I got it from my buddy’s buddy who got it from Steve Tyree personally or whatever, which is just as legit or not legit as direct from the original seller. Thats whats crazy about this hobby. You never really know what you’re getting, you just have different levels of trust in the seller’s honesty/reputation. I think it’s pretty cool that he has that kind of paperwork and information on his item. GLWS bro.

Thanks for posting this and advocating for honest selling.

I merely ask from a perspective of ignorance. Personally, I don't care for this designer stuff where corals are being graded like gen stones. People want beautiful animals to appreciate, and since it's a market it will always be driven as such.

So I'd still like to know what top lineage is. Is this like grade A-C? Grade AAA?

I'll pay for pretty sticks because I want them, not because JF or CB has their name on it lol.

appriciate the Ronvdp.

kennedpa, i dont believe there is letter grades for corals, but honestly im not sure either. well as far as i know there isnt graded mushrooms. im just certain of the fact that these eclectus lineage is as legit as they come. as rondvp said, people say direct from cornbred or jf, but i have paperwork and will send it to anyone who asks. thanks everyone

Also not sure on shrooms. But they definitely have graded sticks and LPS. That's why I asked.
