What is your yearly go to reef maintenance tips?

I just crossed my first BIG year. It's on my 2nd tank, where I transitioned my first 55g into my baby tank build which is around 150g. But it makes me curious; What do all you find folks with all your experience do???

I always have had a spare heater. So I am thinking I am going to swap 1 of my 2 heaters out to clean. I want to fully pull my ATO and clean it completely. I was thinking about switching a pump or two out two....

BUT AGAIN...I'm curious..What do all the vets do???

Thanks in advance! Love and Light.

Make sure you have backups for all pumps, extra heater.
Every 2 months I clean all 6 powerheads.
Every 6 months I clean return pump.
Every 6 months remove and clean skimmer.
Once a year change halides.
Once a year clean carx pump and add media.
Once a year clean sump.
Thats about it actually.

Where's the build my brotha?
Queued in a list of "things I should probably get started this year and stop making excuses for". ;)

Last night was semi-urgent RO topoff float cleaning (didn't seem to be using as much RO), followed by overflow and gate valve adjustments (which i'm doing again tonight).

Bonus: found one of my green chromis that had been missing for a month living in the overflow box, lol. A little skinnier but otherwise none the worse for the weir (couldn't resist).

Congrats !!! For me at the one year mark, that’s where I started working on automating (getting everything controllable by wifi) and upgrading some equipment (like Hanna test kits for example). Basically spending more money.
