I just bought one of these. So apparently you can't hook the light up to a timer. I wouldn't have purchased if I would have known this. Any suggestions? Upgrades?

It's a $150 tank. I really don't want to spend a ton on upgrades. Just curious if anyone had any suggestions or experience with this tank

you could look for a PAR38 bulb, that would be a cheap options.

I would have to change the look of the tank. It can't go on a timer because it has a push button control. Once it's turned off you have to touch the button to turn it back on.

Lights can be quite expensive. One of the best options (IMO) would be a AI Prime HD or a Kessel. If you wanted the same look, there is the JBJ flipper (though I don't know anything about in terms of quality)

I did. That's correct. thanks for your help. I'll figure something out. I guess they were thinking people would just manually turn these lights on at the office or something. Who knows. I'll call JBJ tomorrow
