Anyone have any custom stands they made for a 10 gallon? Possibly even with the hood on top so you can't see the light fixture? And with an area for sump/refugium/stuff?

Here is a buddies him and I built for his 45 cube for a reference. Just use 1x2's for your stand. 2x4's are serious overkill. You could use 1x1's and the thinnest plywood you can Find like the 1/8" thick plywood for a canopy of you want one just keep it light. No reason to make it extra heavy.

These are not my pictures. But he doesn't care that I share them. He also used 1x2's.

Depending on the light fixture, maybe a "floating" light canopy would work best. That way it's not top heavy.
