I know many of you dont necessarily have a place for this guy, but I have decided it is time to part with my Sohal tang. He is hand fed, very Fat and healthy, has a great personality and will come right up to your hand in the tank and nibble on your fingers begging for food. he is almost worse than the cats. But with the large naso I also have, he is just starting to get a little aggressive at dinner time. I am sure in a new larger tank, he would do perfectly fine as 90% of the time he is very passive gliding with the current.

I am asking $250 for him mainly so he can be replaced with a smaller model. a large one on LA from 3-6" sells for $350.

he needs a tank of 200 gallons or large or a very open 180 with smaller tank mates.

Wow she got that big already. Love these tangs. Did you ever get her to eat out of your hand.Mine does and she rubs on my arm all the time like a cat on your leg. Also when your ready for a new one give me shout.

Zef, yes, he eats right out of my hand, the kids hands and just about anyone else who will show him food. likes to chew on my fingers when I am cleaning the tank. this fish is the biggest begger I have ever seen. Begs every time I walk up to the tank.

no thanks bart.... I dont think that the MP40 fits my setup at this time.

One Bump before he goes to the store. $200 for a show size Sohal.

Oh my... such a splendor...gorgeous!

Release it back into the ocean!

Mobatic, the gulf of mexico is 10 hours away. that is not an option.

Breakin, he is in a 180 currently . I purchsed him out of a 180. he is a Very gorgeous fish. thanks for the compliments.

That brings up a question: if a tank kept fish were released back into the ocean, it wouldn't live, would it?

no telling. FWIW, I caught him tonight. had to use a tiny brass hook so he has a sore lip. he is in the sump doing just fine.

Lindsey I would take him to the Tennessee Aquarium they will give you a free tour. Something you and the kidz can do this weekend togather. You will be lucky to get $80 from LFS. I know AC traded one of mine when I 1st moved here for $100 store Credit 10yrs ago. Also back then. they went for $300 for a small one. and hard to get.

Well, still, he's native to the Red Sea, not the gulf and that's a LONG LONG LONG trip! But there wouldn't be any drip method acclimating him to the ocean!

thought about that Zef. we visited the TN fish tank last weekend and I was severely dissappointed in it. 1 reef tank in the whole place. the rest was that giant tank, and jellyfish. Oh and the stingray tank. other than that, I didnt see a good home for him in their systems. I actually thought the fish in the aquarium at the Mall of america were better than the Tn aquarium.

Oh wait check with mel. He has a small one and a 240g. You can trade fishes.
