hi guys
i,m new to reef, could advise me about this :
(sorry for bad english)
tank is 65g, i dosing AF pro bio s and np pro to keep nitrate and phosphate low, (have ats, refugium too)
until now i keep only fish and my parameters are good (no3,po4,kh,ph) with 20% change montly.
here is main ques : i want add about 5,6 soft coral to tank, if change 10% weekly with AF probiotic reef salt will i need dosing macro elements (ca,mg...) ? or that 10% change will provide them since i want keep 6 soft coral at max?

You should check the levels and see if it will be enough. The corals will use up calcium and alk and it could differ week to week. If you have a lot of coraline growing that will use up calcium. You still may have to dose.

thanks for info
i have a lot live rock covered by coraline so i dose alk daily to keep it around 8-9dkh.
so with 10% change weekly and dosing alk along ca (if needed due to tests), other macro, micro elements will be provided for a my case?

I have done 10% weekly water changes for over a year and all my stats are always near perfect with good growth. I would advise monitoring your numbers just to be sure as the other member mentioned

ok guys thanks for advise
so i,ll do 10% change weekly and check alk, Ca after adding 5,6 soft corals to decide how much dosing is needed to keep alk and ca at good level. (hope other elements such as Mg keep at good level with that 10% change )

Hey @Milad
If you are just doing soft corals you should be fine with just water changes.
