100.3 Heater Recommendation

Eheim or Cobalt. Take your pick. Easy choice, one is almost exactly twice the price of the other. So the question becomes, do you want to spend more or less?
I don't really see the point in considering all the heater brands. These two cover all the bases.

As to where to put it in the sump:
Somewhere it won't get dry.

I'm using x2 eheim Jager 150w.
I have them placed vertical in first sump downpipe chamber like this. Fits perfect.

There is another one in back left that you can't see from pic.

I keep my temp low (72.8-73.3) as its a seahorse tank but think x2 of these heaters would be fine even for higher Temps.

My skimmer section is divided for a fuge or I would have put them horizontally in there.
