I have read the the bulkhead that comes standard with the rubbermaid stock tanks tend to leak, and should be replaced, really conflicting ideas and a lot of the info I come across is a decade or more old and will have many posts about replacing it but not a whole lot about how and sizing.

If one were going to replace the stock bulk head that is supplied, what size would one be looking at?

I am not super DIY so easier the better...lol

I took mine out and used silicone on the inside where it contacts the tub. Hasent leaked in 5 years

I was thinking about doing that as well, might be the easiest solution.

I just removed the plug on mine and siliconed it in. It has not leaked in several years of use. I drilled a different hole to install a drain in it (I use it as a cryptic fuge on my system) on one of the flat surfaces.
