Well, here goes my transition.

Here is a short clip of my current tank:

100g
60x20x18
Lighting:
(4) 10k T5HO 54w
(2) VHO 110w

ASM G4+
MP40w es
1262 eheim return
modded maxijet

now the transition:

I've torn apart a used 240g (96x24x24) bought a new starphire front, RTV 103, and was nearly ready to put it together, when the two side pieces somehow broke (thinking dog) - it couldn't possibly be my fault.

Well, now i'm probably going to order a new bottom piece and sides, this time 36" instead of 24! more to come on this part, still have to order the glass.

now, i'm planning on moving, so will actually be downgrading to a 29 gallon rimless (i think). I have a 65, 150, 90g in the garage (yes I have the sickness). And plan on keeping just my RBTA's with a 250w mh until I can manage setting up the new tank.

Anyway, that's the thought process so far. I'm eager to have the 96x36x24 setup - but will for sure be doing LED's as well.. so it may be awhile.

Your current tank looks amazing! Good luck on the transition! :)

Thank you!

I'm really struggling with this.

I'm actually thinking I may keep just my clowns and nems (2 split into 5), and turn the 96x36x24(t) into a planted/discus tank (gasp).

a tank that large seems cost prohibitive.

anyone regret making the move to a planted tank?
