Hey,
Sorry for all your crashes and loses.
I just want to know, at what height and intensity were you running your ocean revives light?
Thank you

Hey @mazoli how is the tank these days? Any new updates? It was heartbreaking to read through and see the struggles you've been through. I can relate as I had a slow crash at the end of last year that I'm still picking up the pieces from.

Hi, nothing special going on, it is almost on "autopilot", it is all good :)
You don't have to be sorry, this happens, it is part of reefing, it is a fragile environment.

This is about a month old video I took, nothing much happened since (other than I took the skimmer offline for 2 weeks while we repainted the whole apartment, everybody survived, no issues)

I tried them at 45-60% first, but it needed a little bit more, so raised them I think to 75-80% blue and 50-60% white. If I recall this was the setting I used the most. I also tried to use them at 100-100% as well, but most of my blues and 410-420 uv leds got burned after a few months, I had to reorder all the led panels and lenses. Last fall I sold both OR units and bought a maxspect razor 320w, which is a much nicer unit of course, but I still liked the colour of the OR better. Oh well, you can't have it all :) Cheers.

A few technical tedails. The glass is 48*24 inch (120*60 cm) and 20 inch high (55cm). Light is 2x OR T247. I had the leds for about a year at the beginning from March 2014 till mid2015, then switched to a 8xT5 fixture for less than a year, but switched back to LEDs this March. Will stay with leds for now.

Filtering is a H&S 150 protein skimmer body modified to fit a Jebao DC3000 pump with pinwheel rotor, running at 50% power. Last year tried zeolites for a few months, but was too much extra work, did not see the benefit (at least in my case), so stopped using it. Earlier also used/tried macro algae for filtering, but gave up on that as well. No carbon or GFO, however if my phospahates rise, I apply GFO. No filter socks, but I’m using a power filter with filter wool, and at least once a weeks I stir up the sand .
What make/brand tank is this ?

It is a custom built, in Hungary it is not typical to buy brand aquariums (very few maybe only freshwater or "toy aquariums"), I would say nearly all saltwater aquariums are custom built.

Hey any updates to this beautiful reef? It's our Reef Of The Day today!

Beautiful tank. Gives me great ideas for my eventual upgraded tank. Thank you for sharing your experiences (good and bad).

Nice tank! I use the same skimmer. I don’t know how many H&S 150’s are left out there.

How is a tank from 2018 a tank of the day in 2020, lol??

Dude hasn’t even been on in almost a month not to mention doesn’t even hardly participate. 147 posts in 6 years. Cmon...

tank of the day should be from modern times at least lol

The SPS on top are stunning, I look forward to moving to a bigger tank to be able to handle growing them. I want a bigger tank, probably 150+ gallons myself, but this one has obviously been well thought out. I don't care how many posts the OP has, the ones in this thread are informative.

It’s been a while sincs I posted. I stopped reefing in late 2018.
