100w metal halide

What do I do with this? I believe it's a Hamilton 100w ballast with pendant and the pendant has 4 LED's, 2 on each side. The light it puts out is somewhat weak in my opinion. I got it with a 24g aquapod, current prime 1/15 chiller and some other accessories. I'm just not sure what to do with it, any input is better than none.

do you need only this much? what do you need for lighting or what type of tank are you going to have? it looks like you have about 4.1 watts per gallon

I dont have plans for the tank right now, i got the light second hand and I was wondering what people would use a 100w ballast and pendant for, it seems too weak for anything, except maybe seahorses.

Not at all weak, 75 watt mh is used for that size tank and you can keep sps with that.

So maybe the bulb is bad? I wouldn't even know where to begin looking at what kind of bulb is best for this thing for the different applications...

I have a second question...the LED's on it are pretty weak and there's actually places for 4 more, how difficult would it be to add a few more actinic LED's? Would it be simpler to just get a blue LED strip and attath it separately?

yes they make led's just for actinict lighting stunners they come in different colors now

I think what was meant is that the LEDS on there already are just moonlights, and 100w MH is PLENTY for a 24g tank.

Yeah sorry, moonlights. They're not too strong but I got the whole set up for a $100 so I really can't complain haha. The MH light, 24g aquapod, 1/15 chiller, 2 hydor powerheads, a few extra MH bulbs, a container of salt, fluval 404 canister filter and a bunch of food. I think I did okay haha
