108g BB peninsula build

Do you find the water not being crystal clear when not using carbon? I was trying zeovit, with a big skimmer and I think I starved the corals, especially any new one I introduced to the tank. So I ended up doing a big water change, started feeding more and begin to notice the corals reacting positively. Now I'm getting g polyp extension and the overall appearance of the corals are better. That's when I decided to use the KISS method. Dose ca, alk & mg along with water changes. Gonna use activated carbon to polish water though cause I like the water to be clear.

My water are cleared, i dont weekly wc so the detritus doesnt settle. And the fact that my tank is bare bottom so its easry for me to vacuum out the dirty. I like running KISS too and has been since the Begining, save money and less work so i can enjoy the tank more

A little update on my tank and new project. Upgrading my sump to a 40. Breeder with a frag compartment. I had to removed the center beam to be able to fit in he stand. Redoing all the plumbing is such a pain.

Just another update. Just completed my plumbing to the new sump and the skimmer. Took couple of days playing tetris with the big skimmer but finally got it into place and made a $20 cabinet to mount all the controls and hide the wires.

My casualties from a 2 week vacation outside the country. Also lost two big colony that i couldnt get it out of the tank.

Ohhhh man.....I hate this part of vacation. It happens to me almost every time.:(

Do you know what caused it?
1 of my anemone got blended couple days before i went on vacation so could possibly a reason. Another is my doser went kinda wack while i was gone so my 2 part was low.

Oh man. Sorry to hear that.
Holidays are nightmares
