Check out the progress of my new build!

The purpose of the tank is Yet to be determined, as I have many possibilities for it, leaning towards zoanthids as they are one of my favorites.

I took a standard 10g, glued a corner baffle for an overflow, and inserted a powerhead and bioballs. The balls stay above the water level, leaving about 2/5ths of a gallon in the overflow, so top offs will be VERY important, and may need twice a day, which I am capable of doing.

Simple enough, I chose to place the heater (which I may not even need) in tank, to prevent as much evap in the small overflow section. I am not using any internal powerheads, so I have the whole space of the tank, minus the corner.
I know that it is going in a corner, so I made it a side and front view with a background that is Pink Hippie Gift Wrap!

TO light the tank, I have a 1x24w pc fixture, Bulb yet to be determined as well. (Taking suggestions, it is a 4 pin straight, not square). It was free, so I am using it as I have heard great results with PC, and 24 watts, @ 2.4watts per gallon isnt terrible, not clam worthy, but good enough for alot of cool things.

i melted slots in the plastic frame to route zip ties to hold the tubes and egg crate.
Zip ties are cheap and easy...snip it when I clean it, stick a new one on.

I may leave the bioballs exposed to view the water level, or I may glue some kind of encrusting coral to the glass. I will add sand and rock as soon as I decide what color and shape.

Whatever route I go, the back ground will always be visible. I am going to do matching colored corals and fish. Other than that im just winging it!

HAHA nice!

thanks guys! Any thoughts on my lighting choice? Never really did anything pc before today. I have no bulb yet, im hoping there is a 50/50 that is 420/6500? Super growth, actinic supplement...seemed to work with my 400w halide when it was up as far as spectrums. All new lights on all my tanks...im gonna have some new color morphs soon too (another thread if it happens).

I might also make a canopy...out of something recycled maybe since hippies hug trees? And future lighting will most likely be led, or filtered sunlight if i remodel. (My fish room will be the front sunroom, with heavy curtains lol. I may even black out the glass if algae goes nuts, withthe possibility of a monster algae scrubber pre basement sump
