Hey all,

So I've caught the reefer bug pretty bad... I'm currently in the process of getting my 32g Biocube established and what not.... BUT I also have a 10g rimless tank that I've been using for a Betta tank. It's this tank:
I'd like to convert this to SW for a nano reef if possible. Accepting that I'll need to upgrade the light, I have a Eheim Classic 150, would this work on a nano like this? Anything else I'd run into using something like this?

Then I just gotta figure out what to do with this Betta.

Thanks!

Stability is a key with reefing and that will be your biggest challenge in a 10g tank. Lighting, filtration, an ATO, and up to a 50% weekly water changes are all things to consider. Good luck!

I think it would be fine although I’ve rarely seen people use canister filters in the salt world.

would the Eheim canister filter be appropriate??

It depends on the size of the Eheim canister, but yes you can probably make it work. You will need to be committed to keeping it up.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
