My apologies but I searched for this but didn’t find it addressed unless I’m using the wrong search terms. The advertisement for the biocube 32 fish in picture shows 11 fish. Everyone says five fish at most. Does Coralife know this? Even as juveniles :flushed-face: Maybethis was a corals only tank and when they were cleaning the 300 gallon next to it they used it to temporary house the fish and someone took a picture?

1 - Blue Hippo Tang
2 - Wyoming White Clownfish
2 - Black Ocellaris
3 - Firefish
1 - Redfin Fairy Wrasse
1 - ?
1 - ?
no apparent cleaner crew.
And a full tank of corals?

This is nothing compared to the old Marineland boxes. Their kits would have 2 shorty fluorescent bulbs, but the packaging would have coral, discus, moorish idols, tangs, freshwater angelfish, terrestrial hermits and starfish.

You can have 9-11 fish in a 20-30G Nano if you select fish carefully. In a RS Max Nano at one time I had 9-10 fish and that’s only about 15G in the display half. And that restricts you to 2 larger species of Nano Fish (I had a Linear Blenny and a Pink Streak Wrasse) then 7-8 small nano fish like Gobies (I had I believe 4 gobies and then 2 other wrasse for growing out).

I am pretty sure they know i, but many newbies don’t, so that’s why this picture.

With many description write-ups saying you can get away with a smaller tank as juveniles or minus 30gal but a full adult requires "X" size, I was wondering if that is to cover themselves for selling it in a small tank or implying you can keep it until it gets big enough to place in your 300gal?

If I had to guess I’d say the photographer picked the fish and the manufacturer knew it wouldn’t work and wanted to low key say don’t do this.
