Ok, so I'm now 11 months in and not so bad. I have lost a few corals and the ones I have are not growing much. My LFS told me the green Cori's wrasses was reef safe .
One day I hope to get it out of my tank. Trail and error have gotten some corals coming back after a rough time.
I was wondering, if you start with small frags and space them out nicely, how long before they get big and beautiful? I like the easy stuff. I'm 61, so I don't want to really wait years and years .
Here it is so far.

Umm yea corals arent really the fastest growers , some only grow a third of thier size in a year but i have hopes that you will live stleast 30 more years

It really depends on your system and stability.
Here is my 120, their is 1 year between pics.
Tank was 1 month old from first pic so 13 months now.
95% of the coral were from 1-2" frags with a few mini colonies added recently.
Second pic I just took.

Thank you for the pictures! It gives me hope. I'm not planning on living 30 more years and all my kids say it's cool, but they don't want it when I pass away.
But, it don't matter. I enjoy it now and for how ever long I can take care of it. Thanks again.

I started with dead rock. I painted my background blue. I have Coraline algae grown in power head, overflow box, and rocks. None on the glass. Which is good for me. But not sure why.

Coralline always starts on the plastic.
If you clean the back glass it will inhibit growth.
Took 6 months for it to appear on my back wall.
I now have urchins to keep it under control as it grow fast.
I have to scrape it off the front and sides every week.
