Started my marine tank on August 23 2022 after a break from the hobbie for 12/ 15 years.
I decided to to go for a deep tank tank dank as I wanted that reef ledge look rather than the traditional tank so this tank is 3ft by 2ft by 2 ft deep. I have no sump and run an internal BubbleQ nana skimer and a canister ehim pro canister filter for filter wool only. Other flow is by means of a ehim wave maker. So there no special fancy gear just the basics.
The journey has been ok over the year but my main challenges has been rubbish salt for my own mixes I have after many brands and a year of trial I'm now getting great result and new growth during H2 Ocean classic formula. I've lost fish recently because I had no jump lid and my tiger goby decided to launch himself 15ft from the tank.
Current stock is a beautiful leopard wrase, pistol shrimp and Watchman goby that are a pair, 2 standard clown fish, starry blenny, emerald crap, blue legged Hermit, 2x cleaner shrimp, and a peppermint shrimp.
