Hello everyone. I'm planning a huge upgrade to my current system. 180 gallon reef, incoming 75 gallon sump and convinced the wife into a display refugium.

The tanks will all share the same water.

The equipment for water movement is the easy part.

The issue I am having is the tank is 48x18x30. I have had the tank for a while and would like to use it for said display refugium, but I am having a hard time finding a (preferably cheap led) light to get started with. My aquascape goals in this refugium are many strains of macro algae with a PVC tunnel in a 3 to 4 inch sand bed to host a mantis shrimp in. But what lights have you found at roughly 24 inches deep in a display refugium( not so red/ pink) that will support macros that aren't chaeto?

I would use 360x tuna suns for what you are looking for. They aren’t cheap though.

Yea looking at $900 for the pair is out of my price range for sure. I didnt think kessil had the penetrating power unless I am mistaken
