I have a 110-gallon tank that I just purchased. (Yes I know you cant add fish right away) But just so I can let my local fish store know, so they can put an order in for me. I would like to ask for some suggestions for fish.

- I like small and large colorful fish
- I want some fish that will have a certain job of cleaning
- Something that will always be out

What I’d get if I were you:

1. Tangs - Really cool fish that like to swim around and are herbivores so they will eat algae growing around the tank. They can sometimes be aggressive however so be careful and do a little research on them if you have never had one before. Because you have a big enough tank I would for sure recommend getting a few tangs. They like to swim around the tank non stop but sometimes can be shy at first and may find cover when people step up, however I’ve only seen this

2. Wrasses - Usually are very colourful and will eat pests in your tank so in the future if you get coral they will thank you for having a eraser to protect them. Some species can be aggressive so be careful with these guys too. Wrasses I have seen are usually pretty active and will swim around the tank looking for food constantly.

3. Sand sifting goby - These guys will plough through the sand all day eating anything that’s on the sand bed including algae, detritus, and uneaten fish food. They’re really fun to watch and are usually very peaceful. They like to have a burrow however and if they can’t find one they will make one by clearing a hole in the sand bed with their mouth.

4. Clownfish - It’s like law to have clownfish in a saltwater tank especially if it’s a reef tank. Clownfish are usually out all day and will even sometimes follow you around the tank waiting for food once they get accustomed to you. They come in many different colours and variations and prices can range from very cheap to pretty expensive. They also Like to house coral a lot (not just anemones) which is very cool to see and have as a centrepiece in your tank. Keep in mind though that some people have said that their clowns housed their heater or power head.

There are many other fish you can add too, but this is like what I would prioritize getting and would be like the core fish of my tank.

The most colorful fish I have that are always out are my Royal Gramma, Coral Beauty, and Yellow Coris Wrasse. Anthias are for sure colorful and always out if you are up to their possible feeding challenges.
