Hello

I have a 112g Cube w/ 30g sump and been struggling to dial in for years since a move. My last reboot was a little under a year ago and have been having some great success. Early in the summer I decided to focus on my pH and really bump my Kalk dosing up and got my pH in the range of 8.2-8.4 and wow things really began to grow. I quickly found out that when I raised my pH the Ca and Alk consumption nearly doubled. Later in the summer I noticed a lot of precipitation build up on pumps and reactors.
I am dosing 3.50L (litermeter) of full saturated Kalk a day and 200mL of 2 part CA/Alk.(BM doser may not be accurate but close) Now I know that is a lot of Kalk but my tank is in the basement and during the summer months it suffers from elevated Co2 levels in the basement and also my well water has high levels of C02.

Now for the questions

1. Is that amount of dosing unreasonable? It's SPS dominant and some are getting big.

2. Is there one additive causing all the precipitation more then another? Does Kalk cause it more then Two part? or vice-versa?

3. Will I have the same precipitation with a Ca reactor?

Thanks for you opinions
Kermit
