Hi all. I am running a 65 DT with a 15 gallon sump/fuge. My corals all look good ( 2 zoa colonies, bubble gum Digi, green Pocillopora, torch, bubble, montipora, GSP, and galaxea). My regular parameters look good

ammonia 0
Trite 0
Trate 10
PH 8.2

but my KH is registering 12.5 with Saliferts kit. And my CA is showing 360.

I’m newish but have basic understanding. I currently don’t have a way to check Mag
and I’m not sure how that plays into it. The salifert KH kit says that seawater has between 7-8 KH if I remember right. Is that just a suggestion? Is 12.5 KH with CA at 369 Bad? The CA seems a little low.

all i have is fusion 1 and 2 as far as any dosing or additives go. Any advice ?? Or is it good?

The pic with the clown in the torch is a little old. The red stuff on the sand was some cyno but I have since used chemiclean about 3 weeks ago and it’s all gone. The torch still looks good !

Mag should be kept elevated to help keep cal and alk as stable as possible.

You should ultimately know your levels for
Alk, cal, mag
Po4/no3
Temp, ph and salinity

Likely your mag is super low.

Are you dosing?
If not you may want to incorperate a hand dosing regimine to bring these levels more in range.
Alk should fall slowly on its own, you should hand dose to bring cal up to around 420 and check your mag. Youll want this around 1350 to 1400

Assuming Fusion is a 2 part dosing system, I would use the Calcium part only and raise the Calcium level to about 400. You should be able to do it in one day in split doses without worrying.
