I bought 10 black ice percs and 2 Picasso clowns on Saturday and a med carpet anemone for a new tank. Has anybody else had this happen?

Wow, that's cool. Never happened to me because never tried before. You have a closer pic?

Wow, never seen something like this before. Are they all in the same batch?

12 clowns in a tank....that's a lot of clowns lol

Nem looks fairly bleached, all those clowns are no going to help in its recovery. Suspect you are going to be left with two clowns when all said and done

Yeah I haven't had luck with keeping more than two even in a 210, especially once they've paired up

All but 2 are from the same batch. I have seen people keep several pairs of clowns in their tanks but this is a small tank. I think the reason the nem looked bleached out is because the light was off and I had the flash on my camera on.
During the day only 1 or 2 mess with the nem and then after the light goes out they swarm like bees.

Can you get a better picture of the anemone? Or do you know if it is an S. haddoni or a Gig? Concerned that it looks like an S. haddoni, which is a sandbed dwelling anemone.

How long has your tank been set up?

IMO/E, that is way too many clowns for that anemone, they are going to stress the heck out of it, and could lead to its downfall. Plus, that is about 10 too many clowns in general. What are your plans for when a pair forms and they start attacking the others?

Check out the tread on RC about 27 clowns in 1 210. It is possible.

And "mobert" has stated that this isn't normal and she has actually recommended against other trying it.

wow that is really cool i hope everything works out... i wouldn't worry to much about the nem the can easily move themselves if needed

That's awesome! Would love to see more pics! :D

when you say "new tank". what's that mean? how long has the tank been up? also, can you give us more info about the tank? is this tank going to be a clownfish/anemone tank? I'm sure more people are interested in finding out more about this tank.

Thanks.
