12 frags triton dkh does not lower

Is it normal for 12 frags. Half being sps like acropora. Initial triton core 7 dosing brought dkh up to 8.0 testing with Hanna dkh. Week later dkh read 9.1 week later dkh read 8.1 week later dkh read 8.1. What’s going on here?

Oh also I have never added and more core 7 since initial dosing that brought up dkh to 8.0 as directed by triton core 7 instructions

I just tested again dkh reads 8.8
I dont get it. I am super careful when using the Hanna checker to make sure I fill the vile with 10ml exact and run the baseline as instructed. I go above and beyond to make sure there is no dirt smudges or debris on the glass vile. I don’t get why it has not lowered due to coral intake. I do not get why it raises and is all over the place from 8-9dkh

Looks like a newer tank with small frags. It will take some time for the corals to settle in and start growing.

How old is the tank?

Was it started with dry rock?

The tank is about 2 months old and frags are about a month old. It was started with brs reef saver. Thanks for your help in this matter. It is much appriciated.

Am I correct to not dose calcium and alk until the dkh starts lowering?

Until the frags settle and start to grow you’ll find params don’t budge
I to just started Dosing core7 and will monitor my params
I suggest keeping up the testing as eventually you’ll adjust the dose
