SO i have a 48x24x24 120 gallon and i have done some researching but havent completed the list down to the brands yet. Heres what i think i will need.

2 Sb reef light basic 16" LED

1 your choice DC16 protein skimmer

ATO system and ato tank, not sure what brand as i want the simplest.

Four 20lb bags live sand
50 more lbs of rock

2 pp15 or 2 rw8 powerheads

GFO lil fish reactor - Not sure on media because i want something mainlky for nitrates but also phos would be a plus.

mag 12 return pump

I alrdy have some stuff like my refugium light and a rw4 powerhead.
also i need suggestions for simple power outlet strips that have switches for each.

Depending on what you plan to keep I'd think that the rw8's will be to small. I'd look at 15's or 20's.

Scratch the live and and get dry. It doesn't take long to cycle with live rock and get more for your money.

OK i was thinking 2 PP15 but wasnt sure the difference between rw and pp.

i thought of this because i alrdy have about 45 lbs of sand i could do this but do they make a dry sand that is the same as carib sea special grade reef? i love that sand.

I run 2 return pumps and I have one on a UPS in case of power or component failure.

If you are looking for a media reactor for biopellets look at the BRS. I have 2 and they work well. You want a lot of flow through the biopellets. You want less for through a carbon or GFO so it has time to react with the media.

awesome ill check them out.

You'd have to research, but I believe that he pp and re series are the same except the magnent. With the bigger pumps you can at least turn them down, if you went with the 8's you'd probably be running them at 100%

Yes they do make it dry. That's what I use.
