Just install the ro/di under the sink using this fitting- http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/mur-lok-ez-angle-stop-adapter.html
Its a semi permanent connector that tees off a ro connection between the cold water line running to the sink and the cold water valve. Just drill a hole and mount your waste water line into the drain on the sink and in the event you leave you can either leave the drain fitting with a valve to prevent drips or tape off the hole.
I did this successfully under a bathroom sink if you get creative with placement.
I was able to hide a brute trashcan in the closet and run my ro/di product line discreetly to it.
There is no reason not to have your 120 in the apartment as long as its well supported.
Water changes can be accomplished by running a python to a toilet or tub or directly outside if feasible
