120 gallon no sump tank move

hey im re-arranging my house ant want to move my tank ,
what do you guys think would be the easiest way to do it

if its just moving it to a different part of the house make sure its somewhere that can support the weight. Otherwise drain the tank, and get some friends and lift that bad boy. Be careful about banging it around when moving, however it isn't as daunting as a task as it might seem. The lack of a sump makes it much easier too. depending on how long your fish, rock, and corals will be out of the tank you might want to put them in a bucket with an airstone (live rock in a separate bucket so rocks dont potentially fall on or hit a fish). After moving you will want to keep an eye on your parameters as removing that much water might recycle the tank. However most of the beneficial bacteria is in your live rock, filter, and substrate meaning that as long as those don't dry out the bacteria should live.

how can i tell if the spot im placing it in can handle the weight ??,, im guessing the tank full of water and rocks and equipment it like 420lbs

Uhhhhhh try over a thousand. one gallon of water is about 8.3 pounds, obviously your rocks, sand, and equipment are heavier than that and glass tanks are freaking heavy. It's probably safe to keep it upstairs near a wall, having someone check out to see if your floor can handle the weight and the orientation of the tank would also be recommended. If its the first floor or basement you're more than likely safe. I would also use the same stand if it is meant to hold the weight, if not try to get an aquarium stand for your tank. There are a few reasons, one of which is your stand is less likely to blow out on you and if the stand isn't leveled properly more weight might be put on a part of the tank eventually leading to a leak.
