Hey there, so we will hopefully move to our other house in a few months. So, what do you think for a 4 feet long, 2 feet wide and 2 feet tall tank peninsula tank? They left this much space for me and no more or no less. So, what equipments do I need to start out? I have a list of some, but I keep changing it. It will be a mixed reef tank.

A couple powerheads, lights and a pump should do the trick.

Thanks! I was thinking of Vortechs as the power head. But I am not sure about the light. Which one do you think I should get?

Tough questions. Do you have a budget? I'd say MP40's, XR30's, M2 pump, a nice large sump with a filter roller, full Apex, and a Pentair 40 UV.

So, I just turned 14 years old. I will basically have to take the money from my parents and I will also use my saved up money. So, I will use the best things, but I will have to ask my parents and try to make them understand. But, if they tell me to make it cheaper, I'll have to do that. But, I will make a good list first.

if this is your first tank, i would start with cheaper or used equipment. if you get into the hobby upgrade your equipment gradually to better quality.

I got my first freshwater tank when I was 3, I didn't understand anything back then, but now I understand a lot of things, way more than before. But, I still have a lot o learn. I also had a fowlr tank when I was 11, so I think I know enough to get the tank running, but I will need help when getting corals and everything. I can also take help from my cousin, who has a Red Sea 750 XXL. My parents will not spend more afterwards. So, I will get everything at first. The good thing is that in Bangladesh, we have a high resell value for saltwater equipment, so I can always sell all of them if I ever have to shut down the tank for some reason.
FYI I am not bragging about anything, I have a lot to learn. I am looking forward to that.

i dont think any bragging was implyied. good luck with your move and build.
