120 Gallon Salty Condo

Thanks Brad! I've been asking the fiance to bust out the big boy camera and take photos but no luck so far. Haha. We are busy with planning our wedding but hopefully I can get her to take some soon.

Very much so Phill! I think the shimmer that LED's give off make the tank look "fake". I am not a fan of a lot of shimmer after running LED's for 2 years. I think the T5's are much more "soothing" and natural looking. Plus I have 8 bulbs that I get to play with color spectrum with. I also like not having a canopy on top of my tank. Makes things much easier to get at.

I likey!

Here ya go Brad!!!

Looking great Schooley. Has everything responded positively to the lighting switch?

I'm not sure how I missed your build thread all this time. Looks great! Any updates?

Brandon

Thanks Brandon.

No updates really to speak of. With the wedding 4 weeks away my goal since Christmas was to just get the tank on cruise control until the frag swap in April. This will give me the confidence that the tank inhabitants and parameters will be OK for a week or so while I am away on my honeymoon.

It's been really nice to be able to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the tank rather than constantly searching for that one coral or specific fish. Or constantly having my hands in there working on stuff. It's just been maintenance. And I have to tell you, things, especially the fish, have never looked better! I like it so much that I honestly think I'll continue this for quite some time. I might add one more fish and a few more corals but if I do add more corals, I'll take one out and have it replaced with the new one as I don't want every inch of my tank covered in corals. To me, it's almost too crowded with corals as it is, and that is not what I personally like.

Awesome! That is where I'm looking forward to getting to. However, I'm not sure I ever will, but that's part of what I love about the hobby, too. :)

Right! I've taken a 180 degree turn. I used to stress and worry and constantly think about how I could do something better. Now I just shrug my shoulders, do my maintenance and enjoy it. LOL

It was weird going into the LFS the other day and not even caring about looking at anything because I knew I couldn't add it to the tank anyways. Strange feeling...
