So earlier this year I upgraded from my 50 gallon cube tank to a 120 gallon 4x8 tank. Everything is doing well so far and I am starting to think ahead about fish additions. The fish I brought over from my 50 gallon that are now in my 120 are a bangai cardinal, 2 golden nugget maroon clowns, a yasha goby, and a blue tang. What do you guys suggest I add based off of what I have now? The hardier the fish, the better. I was thinking maybe midas blenny. Maybe a pair of leopard wrasses. Maybe a pair of diamond back gobies ( To also keep the sand bed clean too). I'm not to experienced with the different types of tangs, but I wouldn't mind adding another tang since I have a bigger tank now. Help me out guys....

I wouldn't add any other tangs, especially not an Achilles. I'm not a tang police as I have 1 tang in my 180 but I know they can and will be a holes in a 120. One is good, just my 2 cents. They get too big and they need ALOT of swimming space. I would look into a fairy wrasse or maybe a butterfly.

For tangs, I'd stick with maybe a bristle-tooth (kole, tomini, two-spot) and/or a zebrasoma. Convict and mimic tangs are also supposedly less obnoxious. Word to the wary... that blue will probably outgrow the tank eventually, and like mentioned above tangs can be jerks as the mature, especially in tight corners.

There are plenty of other fish that could work though. Several wrasses (with a cover), the blenny would work, any of the basslets, maybe a small group of anthias if you're feeling brave.

I like the sound of those different bristle -tooths as they also are not very expensive. Hopefully I can find a smaller one that will get along with my blue tang.

I have a kole now, he's a little on the obnoxious side but I still like him. I had a tomini before that was very mellow and the bright yellow fins are stunning in person.
