120 Mixed Reef Stocking Help

Hi All!

Need some advice on what to bring in to the mix next. I thought I could do it solo but in the end there are just too many combinations.

A little background, i've got a 120g 48x24x24 mixed reef. It's got two primary piles of rocks, one is/will be SPS domiated the other is LPS.

What i'm looking for:
I'm looking to put some fish in that are active and fairly peaceful. I'd like to add color and activity, my current fish tend to hide when anyone is around and i think more free swimmers might get them to come out a bit more often.

Current stocking list:
2x Snowflake clowns
Tomini Tang
Lieutenant Tang
One spot foxface
Flasher wrasse
Midas Blenny
Court jester goby

Looking to add 3-5 more smaller fish.

5 blue/green chromis. I like the 5 I have, always out in the open

That's what i was thinking, chromis or anthias.

I've thought, Royal gramma, one or three lyrtail/dispar anthias, and a trio of chromis. Something along those lines. I tend to lean towards a heavily stocked tank but i'd like it to be active. I've got a Bubble Magus Curve 7 and can upgrade if need be but i'd love to have various shapes and colors at this point that are active instead of friends and neighbors says "Thats a nice clownfish" because that's all they see hahaha.

Anthias would be good choice as well. Or even some more wrasses. Your tangs don't hang out in the open?

I agree here...I have 5 blue/green chromis in my 120g and they are by far the most active.

I just had to evict a very aggressive purple tang which use to chase everyone around and nip fins, so they are still skittish. If you walk up slowly they will swim but still kind of awkwardly.

I've thought wrasses as well haha, so many choices!

1 mccoskers wrasse
1 flame wrasse
1 powder blue tang
1 yellow eye kole tang
1 blue throat trigger

Have 1 royal flasher wrasse in qt. Will add few more wrasses.

Recently lost hooded wrasse...made it through screen top.

Tank is very active with this group

I've been looking pretty hardcore at the blue throat trigger, seems to be in stock everywhere around me but i'm just not sure about them. What's he like in your tank?

Been a very good fish. Hasn't messed with any sanils, hermits, or shrimp, even a pair of sexy shrimp. Definitely one of my favorites.
Pbt is the boss of the tank and always reminds the trigger.

Well, looks like it might just be a Blue Throat Trigger and a group of 3-5 Anthias. Been bouncing all over the place on what i should grab up but i think the trigger will add a bit of "WOW" factor and the anthias some color and activity.
