I would like some suggestions for fish for my 120 softcoral/lps tank. Current fish are as follows.
Yellow eye Kole tang
2 Lyretail Anthias
Ornate Leopard Wrasse
Chrysus Wrasse
Melanarus Wrasse
Tailspot blenny

What fish would you add. Probably gonna put a couple more Lyretails in there and a couple more Wrasses most likely flashers. I’m looking for community type fish not aggressive, or coral eaters. The more colorful and active the better. What are your suggestions?

Take a look at a Flame Hawk if you don't have any small shrimp. Really cool little fish with great color. Lost mine last year but certainly plan on replacing him one day.

I do have 1 skunk cleaner shrimp. I wouldn’t say it’s small though.

The cleaner would likely be fine...mine never bothered my cleaner. Besides, the FH is just one suggestion...lol.

The Foxface is an excellent algae eater and an option. There are some colorful Basslets as well. I don't remember from your build thread and maybe you simply don't like them, but I don't see clowns on your list. Although they May not meet your "active" criteria anyway.

I’ve considered a Fox face but aren’t they hit or miss with picking at LPS corals? I e had clowns in the past and may consider getting a pair if I get a RBTA for them to host in. Although they would host in almost any of my corals. I’ve always been partial to pink skunk clowns. Hmmm something to consider. Thanks dbl.

I can only speak from personal experience, but my foxes have never picked on any corals with the exception of Gorgonians. The Fox is actually the only fish I've replaced since last fall's storm. Not sure I would have a tank without one, but that's just me.

I've found about 20% of foxfaces nip.

Midas blenny mimics female lyretails, so is pretty active.

Purple tilefish is super purple.

Grammistes blenny are an open water swimmer.

I agree with flame hawk or a longnose hawk.

Love the Grammistes, will have to put it on the list. Can you keep more than one in the same system or are they similar to other combtooth blennies that will protect their turf?

If they are a bonded pr you can have more than 1, but any other time I've kept more than that together 2 pr up and kill the others.

However, they are more tolerant of other species in the Genus.
