Hey! I’m planning a 120g long build. Roughly 70inches. What would be the best power heads to use for this project? The tank is innovative marine pro sr-120! Thank!

I use a pair of Red Sea ReefWave45 gyres on my mixed reef (opposite ends, facing in), so I imagine a similar setup with a pair of ReefWave45s or MP40s would probably work out great. If you're planning to run a lot of SPS you may want to augment with a third ReefWave or MP40.

In terms of "best" it's very much subjective. I love my ReefWaves - but the EcoTech Vortech wavemakers are very popular (and there's the whole 'wetside' aspect that's hard to beat). Right now I would say that for actual gyyes the best are RedSea ReefWaves and for wavemakers EcoTech Vortechs.

As blaxsun said, lots of options and subjectivity. I started my system with the intention of using Maxspect Gyres, but after having to clean them a few times(and breaking one in the process), I went the Vortech route. 3 mp60s and 4 mp40s later, I really couldn't be happier - flow and controllability is great, and having an extra wetside for each - the main selling point for me is ease of maintenance - just swap it out and clean the dirty one at your leisure...
