I like to get some advice of you guys, who is following this thread now and then.
One of the fellow reefer here has some trachies and is offering me one.
As you can see on the picture they are small (frag plug below) but the colours seems pretty nice.
As we do not see these corals very often, what would be a fair price for it?
It is probably brought from US by someone as this is done frequently to get those so called named corals.

No idea at that size, I have been offered £200 + for a head of my "rasta" lobo, the smallest head is 5 cm across, I said no.
They are very nice, at that size I would give £30 - 50 for the one on the right, it looks more settled!

I am afraid it will come at a higher price... for sure it has a fancy name.

Just do what the growers do...
name it yourself.
That's the vast majority of it. The big name growers don't do magic, I've met plenty of them, they can just spot a gem diamond in the rough. They can read the shades of "Brown and Green" and tell you "That one's gonna be this color", that's all they do. That's all it comes down to. being able to read between the shades of green/brown and spot the gems.

Vendors like WWC and BSA tend to carry 'high-end' Trachys with a matching price. I think Unique Corals is one the few that carries colonies and interesting LPS at various price points. They have a few now:

Unique Corals have a good variety, but the real question is... how do you recognize a high end trachy?
The names are fun though:
Bleeding trachy,
Insane bleeding trachy,
Ultra bleeding trachy,
Ultra rainbow trachy....
Anyhow, I bought one of the trachies in my previous picture. Will pick it up somewhere this week.

Last weekend I got some time to do maintenance on the tank.
Nothing fancy:
Cleaning the skimmer cup and inside skimmer body. I noticed that the body got a thin film of algae on the indise to cleaned this with my reef-tank-tooth-brush when the cup was off.
Took out all the dirt from the bottom during the 10% water change.
I separated the pink milli and acro that were on the same frag plug and glued them in position to give them more space.

This one stopped growing and showing his coloured tips for a while but is now getting back in action:

Xenia... hard to get rid of it, but still nice detail
Tip of the gorgonian
When doing the rescape this one came in a better light/flow area and shows now a little bit of PE.
During the waterchange I found this coral to be with a little STN at 2 tips (not visible on the picture).
I will keep an eye on it for the next days.

I have yet to hear that, but am hopeful. I think it would absolutely be a good thing to get the flow of corals moving from indo again, not just for the hobby, but for the thousands of workers who relied on the coral farming and shipping industries down there to make their living. Can you provide any more details on this info?? I am eager to know if this is true.

Our LFS has some good connections with the coral farms in Indonesia.
He went there several times to hand pick the corals before shipping them to UAE.
The is supposed to be the treaty that was signed a couple of days ago.
Nobody understands the language but it was confirmed the ban was lifted.
There must be some restrictions but first they should change their official language to English....

Wow thank you for that document!!! From what I can tell they had a meeting regarding the prohibition of coral and anemone exports and reviewed the request to immediately revoke the ban on such exports for the benefit of the people involved and the continuation of sustainable farming of coral species. The signatures on the document look like a good sign to me but I can't tell exactly from the text whether or not the request to lift the export ban was approved. I will take your word for it, but so far have not seen any news trickling down stateside. I imagine I'll know in a day or two once I have a chance to talk to my import contacts.
