How are you going to monitor when they get empty?

Not sure about the bottle of Essential you got. Vendor told me some need to be kept in fridge after opening.

The dark bottles are slightly transparent and the GHL Doser warns me when the 1L bottle will be at a minimum of 50ml.
Automation is sometimes a good thing.

The trace elements of Coral Essentials you can mix and keep outside the refrigerator.
Only the black label and GRO are to be kept cool.
But I read on facebook that even those you can dilute with rodi, for a 1 week quantity. I might do that later till I get a hold of the right dose.

Thanks Wally. I think I have to add a little more of he juice. Still dosing is set to only 3ml/day So I will get it up to 5ml to see the real difference.
It is still too soon to tell, but for now, Coral Essentials did not kill anything so we are good.

I guess most of them are seeing sun, sand, sea, nice cars,...
Most of it is true, but it also rains here. And when it rains, it showers... just like last night.

So this morning, like every morning, when I woke up and prepared to go to work, the first thing I do when coming down the stairs is checking if all lights are on.
Lights = the ones for the Profilux controller, CaRx, wavemakers, return pump,...
This morning... nothing. No lights, no water sound, no wavemaker sound.

The fish in the tank seemed swimming around, no heavy breathing. Corals look ok so I start looking for the culprit.
Found 1 main breaker tripped for that section of the house. So after isolating the sub breaker, I found some water from a not so tightly sealed window making its way to a wall socket.
Luckily, the aquarium wall socket is not on that same sub breaker so things were lighting up pretty fast.

Based on the auto feeder which has an analog timer, the power must have been down for only half an hour.
If this had happened several hours earlier (or in the weekend where sleeping is not interrupted by an alarm), things could have been much uglier this morning.

There is no need to run a UPS or generator.
But I will run with a silicone gun for the next hours to close all leaks.

I am glad that you found out early about the power outage, in these cases apex fusion heartbeat is very useful, it will send notification when the power is off or there is no connection to apex.

Seems like one of the Lyretails finally took the step to manhood.

Are you just running the tubing into the bottles? I'm getting ready to make my own dosing containers, but I'm currently using plastic refurbished 1 gallon milk containers! I'm interested to see if there are any visible differences from all the dosing!

I use normal flexible air hose with at the end, cut to size, the more sturdy air line of about 6mm diameter. It takes some water water to get the blue air hose over the sturdy one which has practically the same diameter, but once fixed it will not come down.

The top of the bottles I drill 1mm bigger than the 6mm air line to allow air in the bottle while the level drops.
