This is my 1st endeavor into saltwater. I've done numerous fresh water including a planted Discus tank. I've been out of the hobby for two years to due health reasons. I'm now recovering and ready to do my 1st salt.

While on vacation over 2 years ago I saw a large saltwater cylinder tank in a restaurant. Since then I always said I would like to do one in my home. Well, here I go.

After watching YouTube for over a month mostly BRS videos. I joined the forum.
Here is the tank I purchased. Pro Clear Aquatics

That is nice looking. Curious how one does maintenance on a tank like that, never had one...

Step ladder and a long arm:D The top black ring comes off and then there is a cover that opens up the top of the cylinder.
Not real easy but doable.

fallowing along for the ride! what light will you be using when you go corals I wounder what the par will be on the bottom for your scape? I ask as I was dreaming on the same tank for a fun build.

keep the updates coming!

Yes, not the ideal tank for corals due to the height. Haven't really investigated lighting as of yet. It maybe a case of staying away from corals that have crucial light requirements. I know nothing about corals...

You will need decent lights for sure. They can lit up 'SeaWorld' kind of aquarium. I sure you can find something. If not, plenty of members here can help suggest something.
You can keep some corals closer to the top half as well.

Cool build!

Just picked up an AI Hydra 26 HD. Real good prices can be found on these.
I wonder if one will be enough or I'll need 2?
