External yes... but attached the the main output source pump and flows back into the sump. It looks a little intimidating but actually pretty simple.

What gallon is that i has a 42 gallon external refugee for my 60 gallon

Yes... 2 (maybe) 3 tangs... 2 probably better. Flame Angel... some anthias... couple clowns. Corals haven't decided which ones. My clean up crew will be turbo snails, some crabs and cleaner shrimp.

Sounds good yea corals are the hard part fur me in still tring to figure out what they need when it is so simply easy and look into dotty backs i have an sprangeri and he is so cute and he always wags his tale around

I will look into dotty backs. Besides the 2 larger tangs I want the rest of my fish to be smaller. Hopefully more character and less aggression.

Cycling... took about six weeks with the cocktail shrimp method.

That's my new 10k LED light for the fuge... just using it temporarily for some ambience
