i have a 125 gallon 6 ft tank with dual overflow in overflow box using the herbie overflow method. its on a 4 ft high stand .everything overflows into a 29 gallon tank with a bubble trap then large refugium section approx 25 gallons. it then flows out 2 bulkheads into a marineland tide pool 2 with the biowheel removed .return pump needs to b upgraded but its flowing nice around 500-600 gal per hr...overflows can handle much more .so i am looking for a new return pump.the return pump is hooked up to a scwd current director.also i will b running a coralife 125 skimmer in the marineland tidepool 2 sump.

other than that right now i just filled the tank with rodi saltwater and i have some dry ( soon to b) live rock in the main tank. and white aragonite sand. i am trying to speed the cycle a little by putting in a 4-5 inch live sandbed in the refugium section. this sand was previously used in my 75 gal for about a year and a half..i am thinking about adding some live rock to the refugium section as well to itroduce some pods but i think its too soon ...a week before i put my fish and corals in the main 125 i plan on adding most of the live rock from my 75 gal setup (which is all in a holding tank with the fish and corals untill cycled).and also seed the tank with 2000 copepod amphipod mix. because i would like to get a mandarin. anyway pics are soon to come dont have a great camera but ill get em anyway.

i am using a rubbermaid 100 gallon tub with a canister filter, t5's and a heater , to hold all my livestock, coral, and live rock in until the 125 is ready ..again ill post pics of everything...any comments or advice are greatly appreciated thanks

Sounds pretty good to me. I am running the same setup except my tank doesn't have overflows and I am using a CPR overflow. I have the exact same skimmer and honestly I think it is too small. I guess it will depend on your bioload but I have 12 fish and I have to clean it every 4-5 days. I am saving up now to get a bigger and better one.

Sounds like you have a pretty solid plan, but where are the pics? :)
