I checked... I'm going to Vegas in August - no Micro Centers.

Side note, I grew up 2 miles from the only Micro Center we had in the Phoenix area. It closed down and became a Circuit City about 30 years ago. Then Circuit City closed down and became a vacant store about 15 years ago or so. Maybe more.

Ah yes Circuit City, the place I bought my AMD Tbird and overclocked my first real gaming PC.

Is there a reason nobsy in the hobby uses printers like these???? https://www.elegoo.com/products/elegoo-mars-3-lcd-3d-printer?variant=39706107740208 They seem to avoid the ugly lines and brittleness that come with a standard 3D printer. I’m just wondering if they are super finicky or the resin...

I'm going to get one, no microcenter around me so I'll be ordering it anyways. Any reason why one over the other in your opinion? Creality has a much larger user base so more info/help/parts. I understand the Sovol is a Prusa clone but it's still not a Prusa. Being newer there's less everything at this point.

I want to stay under $300 on everything. I know upgrades will be down the road but I want to be able to do what I want for some time before then.

Sovol runs linear rods is all. Their SV06 Plus is a decent deal. but slightly over your budget.
Do yourself a favor and get auto bed leveling.
High temp hot end is needed for PETG.
Springsteel PEI buildplate is really convenient.
all this stuff standard on decent printers.
