I had an Oscar cichlid that got threatened with life (or death) in the frying pan. He ate my prized Electric Blue Johanni female WHILE she was hold (aka pregnant). He ate at least $200 of babies in that one bite.
Next time I have to work in the tank will see if the wifey can video it. It is frigging hilarious lol.

Yep. And eating big fish is in my nature. I let someone rescue him so I didn't have to eat him. But I was close!
Oscar tastes very good.
Not sure how healthy it was, but I have eaten them from ponds and canals in FL lol.

Mine was considered "ornamental" and probably "not safe for human consumption" because of the dechlor, but I was tempted! He was close to 14" nose to tail.
Nothing some old bay batter and 400 degree oil wouldnt solve lol.

There's a stomatella in my tank with no idea how it got there. Saw it one evening and didn't know what it was. On the biting front, Clown used to bite me all the time in my 28 jbj. Ever since the 125, no bites. This reminds me..I'm running out of room again.

Yep! I work in utilities. Our water meters went up in price by a couple percent so not a huge increase but the supply chain.... I could order 1280 meters (16 pallets) and get it delivered in 3-4 weeks. Now, half of that takes 4-6 months.Yeah
