Well, I'm pretty sure the Raindrops on Roses is a goner. I must have had a spike at some point because it's STN both from the tips and the base. Unfortunately there's nowhere I could even attempt to frag it due to it's size. My alkalinity crept up but I didn't ever see a spike. I'm increasing my alkalinity slowly - still under 1300 but getting close! After I he dose tonight I should be at 1290. Calcium is 430. Alk is 9.8 with 0 phosphates and 35 nitrates.

Everything else seems happy today. Even the Cousin It is extending more than ever!

My cousin It doesn't do a whole lot. I will probably move it over to where the gonis are thriving next time the hands are in the tank.

That's what I did. Rearranged the Gonis. Ones that weren't opening went where ones that were super extended were. I also found out some varieties are irritating other varieties so I'm trying to separate the irritated ones from the irritating ones.

I totally forgot to post about it here but on Sunday evening I found an Alveopora polyp free floating in my tank. It wasn't damaged or anything. I caught it and put it in the mushroom cage to deal with later because we were running out the door for my wife's birthday dinner. As soon as I let go of the cage the current caught it and it drifted into the Bower. My stupid Bower immediately grabbed it and started to eat it! I was able to rescue it and put it back in the mushroom cage and blocked the flow some, but the urchin came and moved the dam I had built and the polyp disappeared while I was gone. I was hoping I had a baby Alveopora but that's not going to happen I'd imagine. Still, it was interesting to see a healthy polyp apparently looking for somewhere to attach. It didn't look like polyp bailout.

It barely touched the edge of the Bower and it was stuck. Then the feeders started coming out quick.

Something interesting and crazy... I have a couple of frags I moved from the 75. My pincushion urchin ate the algae off the dead portions and then ate the skeleton????

After a couple weeks of happy nem he decided to take a walk last night. He's sitting in the complete darkness in a little spot behind one of my Favia...

Ok, top off water is down to 0.5 alkalinity and the water change water I mixed up is 9.3. I'm going to bring it down slowly this way I think and hope that the corals use some as well bringing it down slowly and little by little.

When I switched salts mine took 30 odd water changes to get it down. I didn't see any movement for at least the first 5.
