125 - Took Forever But Here It is!

They got a little bit of water again, so they turned the heat back up. Gotta keep them rattlers warm.

I LOL when those southerners come up north and have coats, gloves and hats on when it's 50 outside and we're running around in tshirts still...
The bust out the UGGS in Florida at those temps too

Here's what I think of Uggs.

t-shirts when it hits 35 again in the spring.

I think I figured out why I lost the Spath... Alk slowly raised to 9.8 which is fine for the inhabitants but it was a big jump for the new guy I'm guessing.

Hey Tim, I think you noticed but I picked up a couple Blastos. Hadn’t realized the variety of sizes they come in. Big one is Black Cherry, and the smaller red one is weirdly called Blu Raven. Any thoughts on placement for lighting/flow you can offer? 5C2E24E2-784C-4D01-BD5B-2D0E5D30C24E.jpeg

Blue Ravens are one of my favorites! I keep my Blastos on the sand bed "under" an overhang. My Merlettis (your Blue Raven) is probably in about 75-100 par. My Wellsi (your Black Cherry) sits right at the edge of the overhang in maybe 50-100 PAR. Not a ton of flow, but keep the junk off so probably low to medium flow. Basically the same as I keep my Micros and Bowers in.

Those Blue Ravens I think get more intense blues and turn more pink under a little higher light so I'd shoot for closer to 100 probably.

Also, Blastos can't really defend themselves from my understanding so be careful putting them too close to anything else.

Thanks! I’ll figure something out for a permanent home, since they’re basically in an empty spot where at least 1 torch is going to have to go.

For me, the Merlettis grew quick so give them room to spread. The Wellsi are bigger polyps but grow slow.

My fake Blue Raven went from 8 polyps to close to 30 in about 6 months and my Matcha Lattes went from 12 to almost 50 in that same 6 months.

My Minions Wellsi went from 1 to 1 in 2 years and my red Wellsi went from 2 to 3 in about 9 months.
