I have no idea if my fish like it or not...I never have paid attention.

So I'm pretty sure one of my PJs is holding free food for the tank! Wait, I mean eggs. I'm pretty sure he's holding eggs is what I meant to say.

I'm not prepared for babies so, yeah, free food. Kinda cool though.
 
So I had seen my Filefish picking at the Bowers and Micros a little bit so I moved it to the in-tank Fuge about a week ago. Since then, the Micros and Bowers have looked healthier/happier which is great, but I noticed that one of my Favias that has really been struggling since even before I got the Filefish is looking puffier today. It's got some significant flesh recession but this is the first time potentially ever that I've seen it look "full". I'm not saying it was the Filefish, but something these last two/three days has definitely helped my LPS.

On a more negative note: one of my Acros (MattV Red Dana) and one of my Stylophoras have started to STN. It's weird because the Stylo skeleton is BRIGHT white after 3 days still. The MattV started at one tip, grew algae, and the algae spread some.

I'm pretty sure it happened when the Urchin grabbed it the other day. I think it "introduced" MattV to the Care Bears Goni.

I'm not overly worried about the Stylophora, I've got several of those. The MattV unfortunately is too small to frag. It never really grew "up" since I got it, only got fatter. The two tips are both STNed and they were so small and close together that I couldn't have fragged one to stop it. I can try to save the base I suppose. I'll see what I can accomplish here later today I suppose.

I've had a few filefish over the years I've needed to rehome for one reason or another - most frequently, an affinity for LPS.

I'm kinda bummed right now. The MattV is still slowly deteriorating and the Stylophora has kinda stayed put - not healing but not dying any further. Now my Sugar Daddy is slowly going downhill and my stupid Urchin took my Riptide Judge Judy Milleopora for a ride and let the torch reach out and sting it so today it's kinda not super happy looking...

Stylos seem a bit temperamental to me. They might come around! Urchins should stick to wearing zoa hats--at least they don't die off when every coral/nem in the tank ends up touching them!

I need to glue my Acros is what needs to happen.

Wanna see something interesting that my urchin did to an Acro skeleton today? Upper left corner of the tank, Egg Crate hanging rack... The empty frag plug was in the sand bed this morning and the upsidedown one was right side up in that exact spot...

Went to the water park today. My daughter read enough during the summer reading program that she won a 4 pack of tickets to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. Years ago it was Water World (no, I never saw Kevin Costner there). It hasn't changed much in the last 30 years but several rides were down for repairs.

Oh, perhaps some subliminal messaging: "So, can you tell me about a time--acanthophyllia--that you had to overcome a challenge?"
