125 - Took Forever But Here It is!

One thing I had an issue with was when combing the nozzle would occasionally contact the print depending on the infill. Z hop helped to eliminate it, the nozzle bumping the print would cause it to loosen from the bed.


But what you have definitely looks like lifting or curling. It's either due to poor adhesion or bed temp too high.
I had my nozzle grab the print yesterday twice and pull it off the bed. I adjusted the Z-axis offset up .01 and it fixed that issue. Bed temp was set to 60 so I'll drop it to 50 and see. That was a big print and fairly thin. I'm pretty sure it's going to work for what I needed but for future prints I'll want to get it figured out.

As @stoney7713 said, there is a setting for z-hop on retract that you might want to checkout. It adds time to the print and frankly, the nozzle wouldn't snag unless the print popped anyway so I don't use it too much.
 
have you ran any temp towers? There is a cura pluggin for a bunch of tuning tools thats worth youtubing howto for.

Some infills like rectangular I think, are inevitable depending on how the model is sliced. The travel path always criss cross across already printed infill.

Could also try to decrease flow by 5% after first few layers.
 
I just get the double-sided PEI sheets for $17-20 on amazon. throw them away when I gouge all the PEI off.
It's held up well enough. The corners are a different shape, so would need to be cut to fit the ankermake. But I just printed the part I am causiously optimistic will let my ender work properly.

I did. 185-190 seems ideal for structural stuff, 180 had minimal stringing compared to the rest but the "needle" was slightly more jagged.

Mine is set for diagonal. I am pretty sure it was the offset was too much. I've got another project waiting for when I get home. I'll do 50 and 180 with the current offset of 2.90 and see how it does. It's more like the temperature tower.
 
Huge congrats on that one. I'd also volunteer to take it off your hands if my house was finished :rolleyes: :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing::loudly-crying-face:

Ours was 8 months once they broke ground but it was a builder/cookie cutter home.
Yeah. I'm impatient, but this is taking much longer than it should.

We made some edits, but they were all removing not adding extra. We got rid of the island style kitchen and knocked the breakfast nook out to open it up. So, less work really.
