I cant wait to get my 125g goin! I was originally going FOWLER because I wanted some Angels but I cant stay away from reefs. So im not sure if im gonna stay mixed or dominate it.

Great tanks and looking good on the new one!

I was thinking of emptying out the biocube into the 125g so I can turn it into a Non-Photosynthetic tank. But I think a taller tank would be better for that.

I didnt bother with the legs. I just have them on the glass tops. Do you think that will cause any heat issues? I was thinking they would run cooler with some air cirulating between the lights and the tank but I have two 36" fixtures and the legs dont fit right on the 6ft tank.

I think it will cause some heat issues but not much. You might run a small fan down the length of the top of your tank along side the light fixtures.

Im enjoying seeing your progress, I'm new to the hobby and am inspired by your work. My tank is taking a while to become functional due to my lack of knowledge and time :) Keep posting pics and updates, I love it!

So.. my rock comes today. I got 80lbs CaribSea base rock to start with. I have about 25lbs live rock that i cultivated myself in there now so i should be about good. In my experience I prefer dry rock as opposed to live rock. Theres always a little die off that disrupts my nitrogen cycle. Not to mention unwanted hitch hikers like bristle worms. I have good coralline algae growth on the rocks in there now wich will seed my dry rock. I should see some coralline in about eight weeks.
