So my name is Omar I've been on this forum for almost a year I've occasionally have posted threads and asked questions, but never fully introduced myself. As a child I was born in Guatemala on the coast that is probably where my interest for marine biology was born I also went fishing with my uncles and family as we owned a fish market. For those that don't know Guatemala is poverty stricken and a 3rd world country my family couldn't take care of me so I was put in to an orphanage. At 7 I was adopted from 2 great parents both being Caucasian and I moved to the USA. The funny part is that they only spoke English and I spoke Spanish but we still had that bond that made us close. Anyways I've always told my parents(my adoptive) I've wanted to be a marine biologist and the reason I think is because it helps me find my roots and being born on the coast. I have a job and I'm glad and know how lucky I am to have the wonderful family that I have and have the opportunities I would have never gotten In Guatemala. I like sharing this story because I'm proud of who I am and where I came from and I also know that everyone has there own story that is unique to them. Moving on as I was younger I always wanted a saltwater tank me being young didn't know how much work it was going to be so I stuck with the easy freshwater tanks. So I being 16 have gotten permission from my parents to start One! I've heard go big or go home so I got a 125 gallon reef ready tank. I'm still getting all the equipment i need and saving up and doing more research. I will be showing all my equipment now and give me suggestions of what I need and should get .
Made this stand because all the ones I saw in stores where way to low and not big enough and did not match my joys so I made one and had fun making it with the help of my dad.
This is the inside with a trigger emerald 39 sump
my dog Ramos wanted to be in the picture so I let him but here is my 6 stage BRS Ro/Di water saver plus system.
I also have a Hannah alkalinity and phosphate checker and my favorite the digital refractometer from Milwaukee.
Now even tho this isn't equipment I would like to share this because my grandma painted it for me and it came out great.
I also got my auto top off which is the tunze osmolater! Thank you so much for letting me be part of your community and more equipment will be posted! Let me know any ideas or thoughts of this setup[emoji4]
