12h Photoperiod -- What are your thoughts?

Here is my photo period. Start of day and end of day have ramp up and down. But middle of day has photo
period of peak intensity.... In nature the intense photo period is 10am to 5pm.... So I focus on that.
I have dove many coral reefs in different parts of the world, mostly in the Caribbean, at various times. By 10am that sun is cooking and by 5pm it gets cooler and cooler...

What nature provides, we should mimic....that's my mantra. Since most of what we have comes from in and about the equator, with a 12 hour light cycle, that's what I do....and all is well here!

I run my over 13.5 hrs. I leave early and get back late. I have a bunch of wrasses, and love to see the tank. Light start to turn on at 6 AM and completely off at 7:30PM. I have Radions and use the normal light, just intensity ramp up then down.
The fish and coral don't mind. I love to have a few hours of light to see and feed the fish before the tank goes dark.
