Great progress thus far, what are your plans on filtration?

Just going to KISS It. I would like to end up with two Synergy Sumps. triple filter sock, refuse with LR, Good skimmer and a BRS dual Carbon GFO reactor, then a triple Dose for two part and ATO. the pièce de résistance Apex Controller.

Looking really good. I can't wait to see the finished product!

I wish I was capable of working metal. It's just not something I ever learned and don't feel comfortable trying to learn on my own.
By the way, is that your workshop? If so I am extremely jealous? I have to make do with a 2 car garage, and sometimes my basement.

No updates yet... The cleaning of the tanks is going a lot slower than expected the guy that had them before me thrashed them to the point the glass is etched deep. Might be going in a different direction with the tanks. If I can't get them polished out. Hoping to have the deck cut and mounted this weekend.

The first shop I was working in is mine the second is my moms husbands hot rod shop. He had a few more tools to play with.

I need to get another load of steel to make the light rack over the tank.

I hope you can make those tanks work. That woul really suck otherwise. And I'm really looking forward to seeing the final product.

I think I had a shop class in metal, bit if so it was too many decades ago. Plus the hardware and processes are a little too much for me. Way too much potential for burns and fire for me. Wood, though, I can handle. And I am fairly good at making it up as I go along. And the main danger is just blood and dismemberment. I can handle that. And splinters, which ironically I am more scared of than the other two. I just find wood more forgiving.

I really looks like I am going to have to bust out the D8 sander and hit the glass with 1500 grit to blow through the etched glass.
