Okay so I concluded I absolutely hate this tank. Biocubes etc liked them. This tank hate it. I’ll be pulling out the dremel lol. So I decided to try the Fluval Protein Skimmer. I got a good skim going probably sat their forever adjusting it. Sorry the glass is dirty. I’m still not decided.
Another thing I hate about this Skimmer is the way it messes with water levels. Evap is low with this tank with out a Skimmer. Biocubes lost a lot more probably due to their fans. This thing it’s hard to judge and that skimmer defintely messed with water level. I’m gonna be a slave to a refractometer and that water level knob. But it does work.
I did Intank Media Baskets in my Biocube. Decided to try Fluvals way. It’s not a bad idea. But it’s poorly designed. When this skimmer breaks in I’ll update. But it does work.
