oops

I have a 180g that is 1.5 yrs oldish. I noticed a couple corals looked unhappy so I peeked in the sump and saw my all4reef was empty but should not have been. I turned it on manually via a smartplug sometime a couple days ago and forgot to turn it off. Stupid. Somehow this is the 2nd time I did this, the first time alk was 16.5 or something like that. Nothing died the first time but all my monti caps grew like mad. I currently duluting from 1.026 to 1.0245. It's been like this for at least a day and nothing died so fingers crossed. I will update this in a day or 2.

Beautiful tank. You should be fine. Let it naturally come back down but it it would be beneficial to conduct a couple 25% water changes a few days apart.

Just did the same thing. Crappy lamp time failed on and pumped about 600 ml of All-for -Reef into the tank at about 2ml/minute. Went from 8-ish dKH to 13. I see a some loss of color... not bleaching just turning pale... on a Green Lemonade Acro, and believe it or not, a small Green Slimer. Everything else looks happy. Digi's are loving it! We'll see what happens in the next few weeks.
Unless anyone has a better idea, I'm just gonna double my weekly water changes until it gets back to normal. I've already ordered a Ecotech Dosing Pump to replace my old BRS Pump and Home Depo Lamp timer. I'll be ready when I need to resume dosing.
